HALLE 006

ARCHIVE BODY · RECONSTRUCTION · TWIN · TIME BODY

The project site medienwerkstatt006.at has grown since 1990: 316 works in the project index, 32,973 files in the site folder, separated by slashes, sorted from 2027 back to 1990. HALLE 006 takes this structure literally and builds it twice: once as a fictional hall of concrete and steel in which every work is a block with an engraved line – once as pure data structure, without space, without material. Added to this are a playable model, a virtual twin as a lab, and a game that crosses the space and time of this practice as an experiment between art and science.

The site as a body

The site was never a shop window. It is an archive that writes itself: long lists, years, slashes, sub-pages like grabo001.htm to grabo168.htm, pathfl1_01 to pathfl1_40, an opera in fragments, dated backups, an oracle, an image apparatus of facts. This order is material – not background.

HALLE 006 avoids the imagery of exhibition advertising. No sky, no staging of grandeur: work light, dust in the projector beam, tape on concrete. The arrangement of the blocks is not designed but counted – it yields the actual production curve 1990–2027. Seen from above, the hall becomes the index again.

Master files (CRF 16) and soundtracks (WAV) are in the production archive. The films are rendered deterministically from the GLB scenes: camera, animation and sound run frame-accurate.
