media laboratory INTER MEDIUM orfeus07
The underlying concept of INTER MEDIUM orfeus07 lies in creating a direct link to the subject matter of ORFEO-Opheus and
placing it at the very beginning of the process. Only a second step in the development moves away from the original subject
matter. This further development begins at exactly that point at which a creative engagement with current subject matters
necessitates an intermedial approach to conceptualisation as well as active practice.
Due to the predetermined subject matter on the one hand and the applied (+) cross-mapping on the other, overcome terminologies
expressed in classifying terms such as "piece, headlining, (art) work, (artistic) product, the closed form" necessarily take a back
seat. Six "inventions" (including 2 recital-cycles) form fixed markers, which are to set in motion the media laboratory
INTER MEDIUM orfeus07, and further maintain its momentum as a work in progress. The material is also a medium in itself.
The (final) product as well as its "Aura"(+) are defined through differentiations of the possibilities for application. The conceptual approach is defined mainly through the quality and density of the intermedial strategies of the projects.
